I’ve always suffered from anxiety. It wasn’t until after university that I was diagnosed with social anxiety. Suddenly it all made sense. It wasn’t just shyness I suffered from like I had believed my whole life. Suddenly I wasn’t alone there were people out there who understood how I felt and why I react the way I do to situations.

Over time I have made great strides in conquering anxiety. This has been accomplished by working with healthcare professionals to get the right combination of therapy skills and medication to make sure I can live my best life.

Sometimes though I still get that heavy feeling like its just too much. I realized that I’ve always self soothed using my own form of art therapy. I enjoy the escapism that it provides. My definition of art therapy is much broader then the average person though and includes crafting, baking, and reading. That is where the idea for Meaningful Millennial comes in. I want to help others practice artistic therapy of their own and rebel one step at a time.
